Watan-Israel chose to escalate its bloody massacres against the Gaza Strip on the first day of Eid, launching a series of deadly assaults that resulted in dozens of casualties on this sacred day—including children who had been preparing to celebrate. In several airstrikes, entire families were deliberately wiped from the civil registry.
Eid Massacres
Instead of experiencing even the simplest Eid rituals, residents of Gaza endured extremely difficult moments. Numerous civilians, including children, were killed in airstrikes that targeted displacement areas in Khan Younis, which saw some of the fiercest attacks on Eid.
Six people were martyred and several others injured in an Israeli strike on a tent sheltering displaced persons west of the city. Among the dead were children, with circulating images on social media showing their small, bloodied bodies after the missile attack.
Earlier, four members of the Al-Qadi family were killed in another strike targeting their displacement tent in the same area. Two more martyrs and ten injuries resulted from an Israeli drone strike on a group of civilians in Khan Younis camp. A young girl was also killed, and five people wounded, when an Israeli airstrike hit a house belonging to the Al-Qahwaji family in Bani Suhaila, east of the city. A young man was martyred and others injured in a strike on another displacement tent in the same town. Another individual from the Al-Akkad family was killed in a strike that hit his home in central Khan Younis.
Simultaneously, Israeli tanks heavily bombarded and opened fire on Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, where residents were threatened with forced displacement.

Tragic Scenes and Funerals
In heartbreaking scenes, the funerals of the victims departed from Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis during the early hours of Eid al-Fitr. They were buried in the nearby city cemetery.
Amid a tight siege on the western part of Rafah city in southern Gaza, Israeli forces launched multiple attacks. One person was killed and others injured in a strike on a house in the eastern part of the city. Ten more people were wounded by Israeli gunfire in central Rafah, near the “Philadelphi Corridor,” which is currently occupied by Israeli forces. Two children were also injured by a drone strike. According to local sources, the city’s eastern areas were subjected to intense gunfire and shelling.
Missing Paramedics
At the same time, Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in western Rafah remains under a strict siege, with Israeli forces blocking all relief teams and preventing the delivery of food and water.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that, for the eighth consecutive day, the fate of nine of its paramedics remains unknown after Israeli forces directly opened fire on them, injuring several, before communication was lost. The team had been responding to an emergency call to treat wounded victims in the Al-Hashashin area west of Rafah. The organization expressed shock at Israel’s deliberate targeting of paramedics while they were performing humanitarian duties.
In a statement, the Red Crescent said:
“The targeting of our medics and their internationally recognized insignia can only be considered a deliberate war crime, punishable under international humanitarian law, which the occupation continues to violate in full view of the world.”
They added that the unknown fate of the medics constitutes a “major tragedy not only for us but for humanitarian work and human values.” The organization held the occupation fully responsible for the safety of its team and urged the international community to pressure Israel to reveal their whereabouts. It also called on countries that are party to the Geneva Conventions to take serious action to protect medical teams.
Ongoing Attacks Across Gaza
Artillery attacks continued in areas north of Nuseirat Camp in central Gaza, while the eastern edges of Bureij and Al-Maghazi camps were also hit with similar shelling and heavy gunfire.
In Gaza City, an airstrike on three vehicles in separate locations in Al-Tuffah neighborhood (northeast of the city) resulted in one martyr and multiple injuries. Helicopter gunships also heavily strafed eastern areas of Al-Shuja’iya.
Further casualties occurred when a house was bombed in Al-Jurn in northern Gaza, and a woman was martyred with another injured by Israeli drone fire on Beit Lahia, amid ongoing attacks on areas already threatened with forced evacuation.
Prisoners Released
Israeli forces released five Palestinian detainees at the Kerem Abu Salem crossing in southern Gaza. They had been arrested earlier during the war from various parts of the Strip. The freed prisoners arrived exhausted, showing signs of extreme fatigue due to torture and lack of food in Israeli prisons.
Hamas Statement
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas said:“This Eid arrives while our people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem face brutal Zionist aggression amid siege, starvation, killing, and destruction—while the international community remains shamefully silent and the United States offers unwavering support to the occupation.”
Hamas called on Palestinians to “strengthen solidarity and mutual support, and renew their commitment to steadfastness and resistance until liberation and return.” It also urged the Arab and Islamic world to increase support for the Palestinian people in Gaza and to assume responsibility by intensifying popular actions and pressure to stop the aggression, lift the siege, and support the just cause of Palestine until victory and the end of the occupation.
