Watan-The Civil Defense in Gaza announced on Thursday evening that the Israeli army committed a “new massacre” following its bombing of the Dar Al-Arqam school, which shelters hundreds of displaced people in eastern Gaza City.
The Civil Defense said in a statement:”A massacre claimed the lives of 23 martyrs in an Israeli bombing of a school sheltering displaced people in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.”
Palestinian medical sources reported that 100 people have been martyred in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn today, 58 of them in Gaza City.
Scores Martyred in Israeli Bombings Across Gaza
The school shelters hundreds of Palestinian displaced people whose homes were destroyed by the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier on Thursday, 44 Palestinians were martyred and dozens wounded in Israeli airstrikes that targeted homes and tents sheltering displaced people in various areas of Gaza.
In one of the airstrikes, 15 Palestinians were martyred when Israel bombed a residential block in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
A medical source stated:“15 martyrs arrived at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in northern Gaza as a result of an Israeli strike on an entire residential block on Al-Mansoura Street in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, and there are still people trapped under the rubble.”
At least 20 martyrs also arrived at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital due to Israeli strikes on populated homes on Al-Yarmouk Street and in Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in Gaza City.
In Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, at least 24 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli airstrikes that targeted homes and tents sheltering displaced people.
Sharab Family Massacred in Khan Younis Strikes
Twelve members of the Sharab family were martyred in an Israeli strike that hit three of the family’s homes in the Customs Authority area east of Khan Younis, and in the Al-Manara neighborhood southeast of the city.
Six Palestinians were also martyred in an Israeli strike that targeted displaced persons’ tents in Khan Younis, in the Al-Mawasi, Ma’an, and Abasan areas.
Also in Khan Younis, six Palestinians were martyred in Israeli strikes on homes in the Qizan Rashwan and Al-Katiba neighborhoods.
On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to escalate the genocide in the Gaza Strip and to implement former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to forcibly displace Palestinians.
