Qatar Denounces Claims of Undermining Egypt’s Mediation in Hamas-Israel Talks
Doha rejects allegations of paying to weaken Egyptian mediation efforts, calling them baseless and part of a broader disinformation campaign.

Watan-Qatar strongly condemned media claims alleging that Doha paid money to undermine Egypt’s mediation efforts between Hamas and Israel, asserting that these accusations are “baseless.”
In a statement released on Thursday via the country’s official news agency on the X platform, Qatar’s International Media Office said:“The State of Qatar expresses its strong denunciation of the media statements made by certain journalists and outlets claiming that Qatar paid money to diminish the efforts of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt or any other mediator in the mediation process between Hamas and Israel.”
The statement affirmed that “these allegations are entirely false and serve only agendas aimed at sabotaging mediation efforts and undermining relations between brotherly peoples.”
Qatar further described the accusations as “part of a disinformation campaign intended to distract from the humanitarian suffering and the ongoing politicization of the war.”
