Leaked Video Exposes Israeli Army Execution of Palestinian Medics in Rafah
Verified Footage Contradicts Israeli Military Claims, Shows Ambulance Teams Targeted During Humanitarian Mission
Watan-A widely circulated video clip shows the final moments of a Palestinian rescue team as they were heading toward Rafah, before being executed by the Israeli army.
According to Palestinian media outlets, the video was found on a mobile phone belonging to one of the paramedics and was obtained from a senior United Nations diplomat who requested to remain anonymous. The New York Times has verified the location and date of the footage.
The video, recorded by one of the paramedics as the team arrived at a field point in the area to carry out a humanitarian mission, clearly shows ambulances fully equipped with emergency lights, while the medics wore official reflective uniforms used during emergency operations.
The video also clearly displays the flashing red lights of the ambulances and multiple visible markings of the Palestinian Red Crescent, leaving no room for doubt or suspicion about the nature of the vehicles.
Leaked Video Exposes Israeli Fire on Medics in Gaza
Israeli gunfire can be heard in the video, directed at the medics in the area. The paramedic filming the video is seen attempting to take cover.
Seconds later, at the end of the clip, the voice of the paramedic is heard reciting the Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith), a common phrase uttered in moments before death.
This video directly contradicts the Israeli military’s statement from March 31, in which it claimed that it had not attacked ambulances indiscriminately, but rather observed several vehicles approaching in a “suspicious manner” without activating emergency lights or signals—prompting the forces to open fire, according to the army’s version of events.

In response, the Palestinian Civil Defense stated on Saturday that the leaked video exposes the truth behind the Israeli army’s execution of medics and firefighters in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah in southern Gaza, and discredits Israel’s claims regarding the incident.
Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said the leaked video contradicts all Israeli army claims regarding the execution of Palestinian Civil Defense and Red Crescent teams in Rafah.
He emphasized that the video confirms “the teams were wearing official humanitarian uniforms and had clearly visible emergency lighting—leaving no room for misinterpretation.”
