Zionist Group Betar US Admits to Targeting Pro-Palestine Jews and Students in the Diaspora

Betar US boasts of reporting anti-Zionist Jews to the Israeli government, sharing names, photos, and workplaces online, and calling for lifetime bans .

Watan-The Zionist organization Betar US proudly boasts about reporting students and pro-Palestine figures in the United States — including anti-Zionist Jews — to the Israeli government.

On its website, the organization describes itself as the “North American branch” of so-called Revisionist Zionism, founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky in 1923. It is considered the most active Zionist organization in the United States.

The website states that Betar’s headquarters is located at the “Jabotinsky House” in the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv, and that the organization has offices in the U.S., Europe, and the U.K.

Betar, which has previously admitted to reporting the names of pro-Palestine students to the Israeli government, continues to inform on individuals it labels as “pro-Palestine and anti-Zionist.”

Blacklist of Dissent: Betar US Targets Anti-Zionist Jews Abroad

The organization says it adds new names daily to a list of anti-Zionist Jews (for the purpose of reporting), which includes Jews from the U.S., Canada, Latin America, France, and the U.K.

Betar claims that it has submitted these names to the Israeli government with the goal of banning these individuals from entering Israel. It also publicly shames them by posting their photos, workplaces, and activities in detail on social media platforms.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the organization did not hesitate to describe anti-Zionist Jews as “enemies,” stating:“We confirm that we have sent to several Israeli government officials a list of Diaspora Jews whom we recommend be banned from entering Israel.”

The organization said it aims to create “a list of Jews who pose a threat to the Jewish state.”

Among those shamed and labeled “enemies” by Betar are American-born Jewish journalist Peter Beinart, as well as leaders of Jewish Voice for Peace, Code Pink, and the New Israel Fund.

The organization also posted information about Rachel Lakin, a Jewish woman who works at the Slifka Center at Yale University, calling her support for Palestine “everything that is wrong with Judaism” and announced that her name had been submitted to Israel’s Ministry of Interior for a lifetime entry ban.

Betar also targeted Jewish activist Shay Davidi for comparing the organization to Nazis and calling for a boycott of Israel, according to its statement.

The group claims to have several high-profile Israeli members, including:

  • Defense Minister Gideon Sa’ar

  • Minister for Social Equality and the Advancement of Women May Golan

  • Minister for Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli

Other members include:

  • Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana (Likud Party)

  • Knesset member Sharren Haskel

  • And officials from various government departments, including the Prime Minister’s Office, Shin Bet (internal intelligence), and other intelligence agencies.

“No Innocents in Gaza”

Under the heading “The Mossad Mission,” the organization announced an opportunity to meet former Mossad agents, Shin Bet commanders, and Israeli military intelligence officers on the Gaza border from June 23 to 25.

In its posts, the organization declares that “there are no innocents in Gaza,” claiming that all Palestinians there are “Nazis” — an explicit call for the genocide of the Palestinian people, including children, women, and the elderly, without distinction.

The group also regularly reaffirms its support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on its X page, stating in one post:
“We would like to express our full support for Netanyahu during this war. We are at war and we stand with the Israeli government.”
