Watan-Dr. Sean Barbabella, the personal physician of former U.S. President Donald Trump, reported on Sunday that the president remains in excellent health. In his report, Barbabella wrote, “President Donald Trump is in excellent physical and mental health and is fully fit to perform the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
The report was issued two days after Trump underwent a routine medical examination on Friday, according to Reuters. This is the most detailed report on Trump’s health, at 78 years old, since his return to the White House in January as the oldest president in U.S. history to take the oath of office.
Following the examination, Trump confirmed on Friday that he feels “very good.” Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, he said, “Overall, I’ve felt really good,” adding, “I took a cognitive test. I don’t know what to tell you other than I answered every question correctly.” White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt stated that “the president underwent a number of tests and scans. It’s an annual physical, so there are a lot of details related to it,” confirming that Trump did not undergo general anesthesia during the examination.

Trump’s Health Exam Results: No Significant Changes, Remains in Excellent Health
The memo also noted that Trump’s heart function is normal and mentioned that he underwent a colonoscopy in July, which revealed diverticulitis, with a benign tumor being removed. The neurological exam showed “no impairment in his mental state,” and Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a test used to detect cognitive dysfunction.
During his first term and in his previous campaign, Donald Trump refused to disclose medical records confirming his physical and cognitive health. The results of the Friday examination were only shared publicly after his approval.
