Hamas Rejects Secret Deal to Trade Arms for Safe Exit

In the face of mounting pressure, Hamas refuses millions and safe exile in a covert initiative aimed at dismantling Palestinian resistance from within.

Watan-In a serious development reflecting the extent of political and security pressure on the Palestinian resistance, an Egyptian journalist revealed details of a secret initiative recently presented to the leadership of Hamas. The initiative reportedly proposed a deal: give up arms in exchange for safe exit. According to the source, the offer included large sums of money — reaching millions of dollars — along with official guarantees from Gulf states to secure the lives of Hamas leaders and their families after leaving Gaza.

The journalist confirmed that the proposal also included residency arrangements in various countries, assurances of no legal or political prosecution, and “tempting financial settlements” to persuade the leadership to abandon armed struggle — a move some have described as “the most dangerous attempt yet to dismantle the resistance from within.”

But the biggest surprise came in Hamas’s response. Sami Abu Zuhri, head of the movement’s political bureau abroad, stated that Hamas flatly rejected the offer, declaring that “weapons are a red line that must not be crossed, and the resistance is not for sale, no matter the temptation.”

Hamas Says No to Surrender

Abu Zuhri added:“We may be besieged, our people may starve, our homes may be bombed… but nothing equals the honor of the rifle that defends our land and dignity.”

Hamas’s decisive stance landed as a resounding blow to a regional axis attempting to tame Gaza and erode its national principles through soft methods — no less dangerous than military aggression. It’s believed that this covert effort followed the failure of all military options to eliminate the resistance, especially given Gaza’s endurance amid siege and bombardment.

Hamas’s message was crystal clear:No safe exits, no money, no political deals can pry the rifle from the hand of the fighter — and no surrender project exists within the movement.

While some may believe the crisis could soften positions, Gaza proves again that its hunger cannot be bought, and that Hamas, despite the wounds, remains committed to the blood of the martyrs.
