Watan-According to Hebrew media, the families of the five Israeli female captives who were working in surveillance at the “Nahal Oz” military base and are still held by Hamas, have allowed the release of a video showing their capture to the public today, Wednesday.
The new video puts pressure on the embattled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a deal that would lead to their release.
According to Hebrew media, the video, which is 03:10 minutes long, has been edited and parts of it are obscured. It includes scenes that are difficult to watch, including many killed at the Nahal Oz base.
Nahal Oz Base Video
According to the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv,” the video shows the captives at Nahal Oz bound and injured, while Hamas members make severe and violent threats towards them and point their weapons at them.
Later, the Qassam resistance fighters ask the captives to provide their personal details, and then they lead them to vehicles.
On the other hand, activists pointed out that the occupation released this video to tarnish the image of the resistance and broadcast it with incorrect translations of the Qassam fighters’ speech.

Refusal to Watch the Video
According to Hebrew media reports, the video was filmed by one of the Hamas members who raided the Nahal Oz settlement site on October 7th. The video was reviewed by the intelligence division of the Israeli occupation army, and the soldiers’ families were called to watch it first.
At the request of their families, the Israeli occupation army presented the video to government ministers, but some ministers refused to watch it.
A week and a half ago, after the families requested the video be shown to the public, it was reviewed again by the intelligence division. Only then did the Chief of Staff of the occupation, Herzi Halevi, and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant agree to release the video.
No Sexual Assault
A Zionist security source told Maariv that the full video is difficult to watch. Contrary to rumors, there is no physical sexual assault on the female soldiers.
Roni, the sister of captive Liri Elbag, said the decision to release the video was due to the “stalled negotiations and the lack of discussion about releasing the captives at all.”

She added, “It doesn’t seem like they are trying hard to reach an agreement. There are things at stake, and the country must be brave. We need to understand that there are still living people there and what they are going through. The video is not easy to watch. I saw it only once. Now I heard the voices in the background again, and my heart raced quickly.”
The families of the Israeli captives said, “There is no greater mission, nor a more important victory than retrieving everyone: the living and the dead for burial. The Israeli government must not waste another moment – it must return to the negotiation table today.”
