Israeli Businessman Attacked in Dublin Amid Rising Tensions

Tamir Ohayon faced verbal assault and was spat on in Ireland, highlighting growing hostility toward Israelis in Europe.

Watan-Tamir Ohayon was on a business trip to Dublin, Ireland, when he was verbally assaulted by two women at a restaurant. The women hurled anti-Israel insults at him before one of them spat on him as she was leaving.

Incident Captured on Video

In a video posted on Instagram, the two women can be seen making offensive gestures toward Ohayon before one of them says:”Zionists are not welcome in Ireland… F* you and Israel.”**

She then spits on Ohayon as she exits the restaurant.

“We Were Targeted for Our Nationality”

According to Ohayon, the incident was not random but rather a coordinated attack against him because of his Israeli identity.

“I was with my colleague when suddenly a woman approached us with a camera. She knew my name, where I was staying, and even the hotels I moved to during my trip in Dublin,” Ohayon recounted.

“It went on for several minutes with no one intervening, and I had to record them as evidence for the police.”

However, the Irish police did not respond immediately. Ohayon added:”Unfortunately, the police only arrived at the hotel two hours after the incident and showed no real interest in the matter.”

“I Will Never Return to Ireland Again”

Following the incident, Ohayon said he was unable to sleep all night and remained locked in his hotel room until he was able to move to another hotel the next day.

“This was a blatant act of terrorism, and everyone stayed silent.”

“I will never set foot in Ireland again after this experience.”

Rising Political Tensions and Their Impact on Israeli Communities in Europe

The incident comes amid rising tensions between pro-Israel and anti-Israel groups across Europe, particularly following the Israeli war on Gaza. This has led to increased hostility toward Israelis in some European countries.

Ireland has been one of the most vocal European critics of Israeli policies. The Dublin government has openly condemned Israeli military operations in Gaza, contributing to growing anti-Israel sentiment within the country.

Irish Authorities’ Response

As of now, the Irish police have not issued an official statement regarding the incident, nor have they indicated whether an investigation will be launched.
