Hamas Accuses U.S. of Backing Israel’s Renewed War on Gaza, Calls for International Action

Israel’s Large-Scale Assault on Gaza Violates Ceasefire as Hamas Blames Netanyahu for Escalation and U.S. for Complicity.

Watan-Hamas stated on Tuesday that Israel’s resumption of what it described as a genocide war against Palestinians in Gaza, carried out in prior coordination with the U.S. administration, confirms Washington’s partnership in these crimes.

In a statement, Hamas spokesperson Abdul Latif Al-Qanou said:”The Israeli occupation’s prior coordination with the U.S. administration serves as a cover for its war crimes against our people.”

He pointed out that:”Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to resume the war and renege on the agreement is an attempt to export his internal crisis and impose new negotiating terms.”

Al-Qanou stressed that Hamas “fully adhered to the terms of the agreement and sought to stabilize it and move to the second phase, but the occupation rejected it and continued committing massacres.”

He called on the international community to “immediately intervene and pressure Israel to stop the bloodshed in Gaza,” affirming that “these crimes will not break the will of the Palestinian people.”

The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has surged to over 330, with most victims being women and children
Dozens remain missing under the rubble as bombardment continues.

U.S. Aware of Israeli Attack in Advance

At dawn on Tuesday, Israel unexpectedly resumed its war on Gaza, launching a large-scale military escalation across most areas of the strip, targeting civilians even during the pre-dawn meal (suhoor).

In statements to the American news channel Fox News, White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt confirmed that Washington was aware of these attacks in advance.

She noted that Israel had consulted with the White House and the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the operation.

This assault marks the largest violation of the ceasefire agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States in January.
