Missile Interception in Israel: Sirens Sound Across Central Areas Amid Yemen Rocket Attack
Israeli forces intercept missile likely launched by Houthi rebels from Yemen, causing air raid sirens in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
Watan-Air raid sirens went off on Sunday in several areas in central Israel, following the interception of a missile from Yemen, according to Israeli media.
The Israeli military stated in a statement, “Following the activation of the sirens a short time ago in several areas within the country, rockets were likely launched from Yemeni territory. We made interception attempts, and their results are under examination. The sirens were activated according to the approved policy.”
Later, it was announced that after investigation, it was confirmed that one missile was launched from Yemen.
The private newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that sirens were heard in several areas of the central country, including the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, due to the interception of a missile fired by the Houthi group from Yemen.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation stated that sirens went off in Jerusalem and the greater Tel Aviv area in central Israel, without providing further details about the cause of the alarm.
As of 15:30 GMT, the Houthi group had not claimed responsibility for launching a missile towards Tel Aviv.
