More than 20 Palestinians, including minors, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza
Watan-Palestinian media reported on Friday that more than 20 people were martyred in two Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), 11 people, including two minors, were killed in an overnight drone strike that targeted a home in the Tel al-Zaatar neighborhood in northern Gaza. Several others were also wounded.
In a second attack, WAFA reported that 10 people were killed when an Israeli fighter jet bombed a family home in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip.
When asked for comment, the Israeli army said it would investigate the reports.
Earlier Friday, Palestinian local sources said that an Israeli drone directly targeted a tent sheltering displaced persons in the Al-Tuwam area of Jabalia, resulting in the death of two citizens and injuries to others, according to WAFA.
Israel ended its ceasefire with Hamas on March 18, launching a sudden wave of airstrikes that killed hundreds of Palestinians across the Strip.
