Palestine’s First Ambassador to Norway Presents Credentials to King Harald V

A historic moment for Palestine as the first ambassador, Mari Antoinette Seiden, officially presents her credentials following Norway’s recognition of Palestine as an independent state.

Watan-The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Ambassador of Palestine, Mari Antoinette Seiden, has presented her credentials to Norwegian King Harald V, becoming the first-ever ambassador of Palestine to Norway.

This follows Norway’s historic recognition of Palestine as an independent state on May 28 of last year, with the decision coming into effect this month when the credentials were formally presented to the Norwegian King.

The Ministry emphasized that this day is “historic for the Palestinian cause, in the context of Norway’s recognition of Palestine as an independent state.” It further highlighted that it carries a “message of solidarity and a clear acknowledgment of Palestinian rights amidst the genocide being perpetrated against our people by the Israeli occupation.”
