Watan-Activists have revealed that the Trump administration deported three American citizen children — aged two, four, and seven — along with their undocumented immigrant mothers. One of the children is reportedly suffering from a rare form of cancer.
The deportation took place on Saturday, after a federal judge in Louisiana stated on Friday that a two-year-old U.S. citizen had been deported to Honduras with her mother, criticizing the lack of any official legal action.
The case of the two-year-old girl highlights the ongoing confrontation between U.S. courts and the Trump administration’s mass deportation policies targeting undocumented immigrants. Federal Judge Terry Doughty has scheduled a hearing for May 16 to “dispel our strong suspicions that the government just deported a U.S. citizen without following due legal process,” according to a court document published Friday.

Federal Judge Criticizes Deportation of U.S. Citizen Child by Trump Administration
The judge emphasized that U.S. law prohibits the deportation of American citizens. According to the document, the Trump administration did not deny the facts but argued that the deportation was at the mother’s explicit request, as she was undocumented and preferred her daughter to remain with her. However, the court stated it was not informed of this decision.
The judge further explained that the two-year-old was deported alongside her Honduran-born mother after being detained earlier that week by Trump administration immigration authorities. Lawyers representing the child’s father had filed an urgent motion seeking her release the day before the deportation.
The National Immigration Project stated on Saturday that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in New Orleans deported at least two families — two mothers and their young children — hurriedly in the early hours of Friday morning.
ACLU Condemns Child Deportations as Trump Administration Clashes With Courts
Separately, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) described the deportations as “illegal and inhumane,” revealing that one of the mothers was pregnant. They noted that one deported American child, suffering from a rare cancer, was removed without medication or medical consultation. ICE agents also reportedly denied the mothers any communication with their lawyers.
Lawsuits across the United States are mounting in response to the Trump administration’s immigration orders issued since the beginning of his second term, with immigration enforcement being declared a top priority. Trump has frequently described the situation as an “invasion of criminals.”
Facing unfavorable court rulings, the Trump administration has entered into open confrontation with the judiciary, with Trump’s allies denouncing what they call the “tyranny” of the courts.
Meanwhile, on Friday, federal police arrested a judge, Hannah Dugan, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, accusing her of “obstructing” the arrest of an undocumented immigrant. FBI Director Kash Patel stated that Judge Dugan allegedly misled immigration agents in court, allowing the individual to temporarily escape before being apprehended later.
A federal court subsequently released Judge Dugan, and she is scheduled to appear in court on May 15.
