Israeli Soldier’s Camera Reveals Atrocities in Gaza: Abuse of Palestinians and Storming of Civilian Homes

New footage captures Israeli occupation forces committing violence against Palestinians in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, amidst ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Watan-Images and footage captured by an Israeli soldier’s camera, found in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, show the Israeli army’s abuse of Palestinians and its storming of civilian homes.

This comes amidst the ongoing tragedy in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has been committing genocide against Palestinians for the past 19 months.

Al Jazeera, which published the images on Sunday, reported that “the Israeli soldier’s camera, which took the photos, was lost from him after clashes in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza.”

The network added that “the photos and footage reveal the Israeli occupation forces abusing Palestinian detainees in Shuja’iyya and storming civilian homes.”

The images captured by the Israeli soldier’s camera date back to July 2024, according to the same source.

On Saturday, Jonathan Wital, the head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the occupied Palestinian territories, said that “the world is witnessing daily atrocities in Gaza,” referring to the ongoing genocide being committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

Wital warned, during a meeting with journalists in Gaza, saying: “The coming days in Gaza will be critical. People in Gaza are not safe. Those who are not killed by bombs and bullets are dying slowly,” referring to the severe hunger and lack of supplies.

On March 2, 2024, Israel closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing an unprecedented deterioration in the humanitarian situation, as confirmed by local government and human rights reports.

With full U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in over 168,000 Palestinian casualties, including mostly children and women, and more than 11,000 missing persons.
