Mysterious disease among female students in Kenya

Watan – In the rapidly changing landscape of global news, a mysterious ailment has emerged in Kenya, causing alarm and concern. According to officials, approximately 95 female students from a school in western Kenya were hospitalized due to this unidentified illness, leading to the school’s indefinite closure.

These students, from “Saint Teresa Eriji” High School, located about 374 kilometers (232 miles) northwest of the capital Nairobi, were rushed to the hospital after the mysterious ailment swept through the institution. Local media reports indicate that the students suffer from a condition that has paralyzed their legs, rendering most of them unable to walk.

Subsequently, the decision to close the school came after a meeting between school administrators and officials from Kenya’s Ministry of Education.

Furthermore, a statement from the school mentioned that hundreds of students will be allowed to return once they carefully assess the situation and implement necessary measures, as reported by the “Anadolu” agency.

On a related note, a mysterious disease recently claimed the lives of 3 individuals in Tanzania, prompting warnings from the World Health Organization.

Boniface Okoth, the county’s education official, informed journalists on Wednesday that 95 students had been admitted to hospitals for medical care. The exact nature of this mysterious ailment remains undisclosed. However, health officials have sent blood samples from the affected students to the laboratories of the Kenyan Medical Research Institute. Their aim is to determine the nature and origin of the disease and to address it according to appropriate treatment protocols.
