Watan-The suffering of Palestinian refugees in tents and shelters scattered across the Gaza Strip is increasing, following the ongoing Israeli war, now in its 39th consecutive day, due to the low-pressure system that hit the country on Tuesday.
In a video circulating on social media platforms, the plight of many families is evident as they have set up nylon tents inside a hospital in the southern Gaza Strip. This is happening amidst heavy rain and strong winds after being forcibly displaced from the north to the south under the threat of occupation during its continuous war on Gaza.
Many families in Gaza, unable to obtain fuel due to its prohibition by the Israeli occupation from entering the Gaza Strip, including cooking gas, gasoline, and diesel, since the declaration of war on the strip on October 7th, are now searching for firewood as a source for cooking, heating, and other necessities due to the low-pressure system.
As a result, thousands of displaced individuals at Al-Shifa Hospital are grappling with scenes of destruction caused by the strikes of the Qassam Brigades (watch). Additionally, many Gazan families have reverted to using primitive methods such as clay ovens to facilitate their daily activities amid the difficult conditions they are currently experiencing. This is a consequence of the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza for the 39th day, with no water, electricity, or food available, not to mention the imminent threat of internet and communication disruptions due to the fuel shortage expected by the end of this week.
