Shadi Issam, a Palestinian doctor, takes his children to the hospital after the martyrdom of their mother.

Watan-A poignant video has circulated featuring a Palestinian doctor named Shadi Issam, who was compelled to take his children with him to the hospital because they no longer had a place in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes for the second consecutive month.

Dr. Shadi Issam was seen in one of the Gaza hospitals, accompanying his children to the intensive care unit. He was forced to do so after his wife was martyred in one of the Israeli airstrikes, leaving him as the sole caretaker.

Despite the circumstances, Shadi Issam refused to leave his humanitarian workplace and insisted on staying in the hospital with his children.

Shadi Issam shared his story, stating that he had been working in the intensive care unit for seven years, and it was during his duty that his wife was martyred.

He added that he had to bring his children with him to the hospital while continuing to perform his duties amid the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.

Wide Violations Against Gaza’s Children

Palestinian children have borne a painful toll due to the Israeli war on Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of over 4,000 children, alongside reports of missing children under the rubble numbering more than 1,700.

UNICEF documented the tragic situation of Gaza‘s children, stating that violations against them include killing, maiming, attacks on schools and hospitals, and hindering aid.

The organization emphasized that there is no safe place for the one million children in Gaza, highlighting that children’s health services are on the verge of collapse amid the Israeli war throughout the region.

UNICEF pointed out that the near-total collapse of medical and healthcare services in all parts of Gaza, especially in the northern areas, threatens the lives of every child.
