Civil defense officer prays amidst rubble after struggling to retrieve his family’s bodies

Watan-Media outlets broadcasted impactful footage of a Civil Defense member in the Gaza Strip praying amidst the rubble, beneath which lay the remains of dozens of martyrs from his own family in the northern part of the sector.

Due to a shortage of vehicles after the Israeli occupation forces bombed the Jabaliya camp, the Civil Defense team was unable to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs.

The Civil Defense member was seen standing on the debris, fervently praying to Allah for his family members who lost their lives in one of the Israeli airstrikes on the besieged enclave.

During his prayer, the Civil Defense member was observed pleading, “O Allah, they are Your guests, so accept them into Paradise, O Allah. Make them intercessors for us. O Allah, strengthen us (…)”

Overwhelmed with emotion, the Civil Defense member collapsed, imploring, “O Living, O Sustainer, we seek help through Your mercy. Aid us, O Allah. Do not abandon us, whether near or far, O Allah. We have no one but You, O Allah.”

Approximately 12,000 martyrs in the war on Gaza

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip entered its fortieth day, with the occupying forces intensifying their aerial strikes, contributing to a rising death toll of approximately 12,000 martyrs so far.

In the latest developments of the war, the Israeli occupying army carried out an incursion into Al-Shifa Medical Complex, one of the largest hospitals in Gaza.

The incursion into Al-Shifa Medical Complex occurred after a six-day siege

After a six-day siege, Israeli forces entered Al-Shifa Hospital in the western part of Gaza City with tanks. The Israeli army claimed to be executing what they referred to as a ‘precise and targeted military operation’ against the Hamas movement.

The Israeli incursion took place despite the fact that the hospital accommodates thousands of Palestinians, including patients, medical staff, and civilian refugees displaced due to the ongoing war since October 7th of last year.
