A Month that Shattered the Illusions Surrounding the Israeli Occupation
Protests have erupted in Western and Arab cities against Israeli crimes in Gaza, described as a popular uprising

Watan-With the widespread popular protest movement against the Israeli war on Gaza taking place across the globe, just a few days, not exceeding a month, proved sufficient to thwart decades-long plans aimed at obscuring and misleading Western populations about the Palestinian issue.

Witnessing Palestinian flags flying in the skies of major Western capitals is something Israel and its supporters never wished to see, causing deep-seated resentment that seems to transcend the confines of our planet.

This occurs at a time when some Arab countries suppress demonstrations and protests supporting Palestine and Gaza, while simultaneously allowing every Zionist supporter the freedom to express their venom, tarnishing media outlets and social platforms.

In Switzerland, a protest emerged against the occupation in the city of Lausanne during the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron. Palestinian flags were raised, and demonstrators called for an end to the Israeli brutal war on Gaza.

A demonstration also took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in solidarity with Gaza and Palestine. Participants chanted slogans calling for holding Israel accountable for its heinous crimes and advocating for economic and political boycotts.”

Large numbers of students from Yale and Harvard universities in the United States participated in protests, where they vociferously voiced support for Palestine and displayed banners condemning the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

Protesters in central London expressed their condemnation of the British Parliament’s vote against a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

Among the protesters in Britain, it was noteworthy that the Jewish rabbi, Hannon Beck, participated, delivering a message of victory and freedom to the Palestinians. From the midst of a solidarity rally in London, he emphasized that the only solution for peace is ending the Israeli occupation and returning the land to the Palestinian people from the river to the sea.

Despite Morocco’s normalization with Israel, this did not prevent residents of Casablanca from turning out in large numbers in front of the U.S. Consulate to denounce Washington’s support for the Israeli occupation and express their rejection of international silence regarding the crimes in Gaza.

In Denmark, residents of Odense donned costumes stained with blood to protest the repeated Israeli attacks on hospitals and facilities in Gaza, as well as the intense and continuous shelling of several neighborhoods within the Palestinian territory.

Efforts to mislead both Arab and Western populations about the Palestinian issue have been underway for decades, but the recent popular movement appears to be a proclamation of defeat for all schemes attempting to portray Israel as a harbinger of peace, garner support for it, and legitimize its existence through projects of rapprochement and normalization.

People from various corners of the world, representing diverse spectrums of society, religions, and affiliations, have come to the realization that the oppressive blockade imposed on Gaza in recent years and the repeated wars waged against it expose Israel as nothing more than an occupying entity encroaching upon the region. The demonstrators affirmed that rights and lands must inevitably return to their rightful owners.

The recent crimes of the occupation in Gaza were met with protests in Western and Arab cities, described as a ‘popular uprising. Participants vehemently rejected Israeli occupation and its crimes, asserting the Palestinians right to live in peace without siege and continuous violations of their rights.
