Aden is under the control of forces allied with the internationally recognized Yemeni government, supported by the Saudi-led coalition, which has been fighting Houthi rebels backed by Iran for years.

The U.S. fleet is currently maintaining silence, and the Fifth Fleet of the U.S. Navy, conducting patrols in the Middle East, has not commented on these reports.

Ember Intelligence mentioned that it appears the U.S. Navy is involved in the situation and has instructed ships to distance themselves from the area.

The seizure of the Central Park comes after the Israeli billionaire-owned container ship CMA CGM Symi was attacked on Friday by a suspected Iranian drone in the Indian Ocean.

The Houthi group in Yemen seized the CMA CGM Symi off the Yemeni coast.

The Houthi group had previously threatened to target all ships, whether Israeli-affiliated or owned by Israelis, as part of their response to the Israeli occupation’s war on the Gaza Strip.
