Watan-A Palestinian family in Gaza continues to live under the rubble of their destroyed home, a result of the Israeli occupation’s bombardment during the war on the Gaza Strip. This follows their return amid the temporary humanitarian ceasefire, which is set to conclude later this week.

The Israeli occupation committed around 1600 massacres against civilians in various locations across the Gaza Strip during its war, targeting homes, residential areas, schools sheltering refugees, and churches. These attacks resulted in the tragic loss of thousands of civilian lives.
Not to mention the besieged conditions faced by residents under occupation during the war on the Gaza Strip, particularly noteworthy were the challenges experienced by medical facilities like Al-Shifa Hospital, Al-Indonesi, Al-Rantisi, Al-Nasr, and others, just before the announcement of the temporary humanitarian ceasefire.
Humanitarian Ceasefire in Gaza
Efforts by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States have resulted in a temporary humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, subject to extension. Its key provisions include the release of 50 Israeli male and female prisoners held by Palestinian resistance in Gaza, in exchange for the release of 150 prisoners, including children and women, from Israeli occupation prisons.
Additionally, the agreement entails the delivery of humanitarian aid and necessary fuel to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing in the southern part of the territory. This comes after the comprehensive blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation on Gaza since the start of the war on October 7th of this year.
According to a report from the Gaza Government Media Office, more than 14,000 Palestinian martyrs have fallen, and over 33,000 have sustained various injuries. Thousands remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes in the Gaza Strip.
