A poignant portrayal of a Palestinian mother bidding adieu to her martyr son amid relentless Israeli bombardment

Watan-A grieving Palestinian mother bid farewell to her martyr son inside a hospital in Gaza before his burial. He had lost his life in the continuous Israeli occupation bombardment on the strip since October 7th of last year.

Activists shared a poignant video showing the Palestinian mother mourning her martyred son due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment on Gaza. She sorrowfully expressed, ‘O the head of my heart, O beloved of my heart, O beloved of my heart, O mother.’

‘O beloved of my heart, O I wish it were me and not you.’

The grieving Palestinian mother continued to lament the separation from her son, saying, ‘May Allah place you in the gardens of eternity, may He grant you the highest paradise. O Lord, in the highest paradise, O precious one.'”

And she concluded those painful words, ‘O my beloved, O Lord, may You make both you and me righteous inhabitants of the eternal gardens, O mother, my heart’s beloved. I wish it were me and not you.’

A heart-wrenching scene… A Palestinian mother martyred while embracing her daughter, a martyr, due to the occupation’s bombardment on Gaza (video). The Israeli occupation continues to commit massacres against civilians since declaring war on Gaza on October 7th last year. The number of massacres has reached approximately 1,500, through the reckless and indiscriminate shelling of residential areas, homes, and schools, targeting the lives of its inhabitants without prior warning.

Israeli Occupation Policies

Not to mention the Israeli occupation’s policy of separating northern and southern Gaza City since the start of the war on Gaza. This is in addition to its plan to divide the southern and central regions of the Gaza Strip after the temporary humanitarian ceasefire ended last week.

It is worth noting that the toll of the Israeli war on Gaza has exceeded 15,000 Palestinian martyrs, the majority of whom are civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, surpassing an 80% ratio. Approximately 41,000 people have been injured with various wounds, and more than 7,000 are still missing under the rubble, according to the latest report published by the Gaza government’s media office
