Scores of Journalists Martyred in Gaza
Since the onset of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip last October 7th, at least 75 journalists have lost their lives, among the staggering toll of over 15,500 martyrs during this brutal conflict.
Many journalists in Gaza have also experienced the loss of family members or the destruction of their homes, as they were targeted in what the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate classified as “assassination operations with a deliberate decision from the occupying government.”
Reports suggest that from the first day of the war on Gaza, the Israeli government gave its military the green light to target journalists. Consequently, anyone wielding a camera in the field became a target for the occupying army, in an attempt to conceal the crimes committed in Gaza.
