Watan-In another powerful strike targeting the Israeli entity, the occupation army announced on Thursday the killing of Gal Meir Eisenkot, the son of Gadi Eisenkot, the former Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army and a member of the War Council, in battles with the resistance in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army stated in a press release that “Sergeant First Class (Reserve) Gal Meir Eisenkot, 25, from Hurlitzia, a combat soldier in Battalion 699 of Reserve Commando Brigade 551, was killed in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

The newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that the force, including Sergeant Reserve Gal Meir Eisenkot, approached a tunnel opening when a powerful explosion occurred, revealing that the tunnel entrance was rigged with explosives. Gal sustained fatal injuries and was transported to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, where his death was later announced.
The newspaper added, “Eisenkot, the father, witnessed the incident live on air while he was at the front base of Brigade 162, and a few minutes later, he was informed that his son was one of the seriously injured in the incident.”
