ZARA’s Audacious Campaign Sparks Global Outrage: Promotion of Israeli Genocide in Gaza

Watan-The inclusion of images in a marketing campaign by the global retail chain ZARA has sparked outrage among social media activists due to its unabashed promotion of the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

ZARA posted pictures to promote its new product line, featuring images of carried bodies, others strewn on the ground, as well as coffins for the deceased and destruction in the area.

These provocative images of genocide prompted social media users to condemn and criticize ZARA.

Widespread Criticism Against ZARA for Its ‘Audacious’ Images

Fatima Al-Shirazi shared some of these images and commented: “Now some people might say it’s a coincidence, but this audacity is never a coincidence, and people haven’t held back in mentioning them.”

She further criticized companies that maliciously promote occupation: “These global companies aren’t stupid to the extent of creating a collection resembling destruction and shrouds and then claiming it’s just a ‘coincidence’ and acting foolish.”

She added, “Your fate is boycotting; there are a million other stores better and cheaper than yours.”

Fatima explained that the comments that sparked severe criticism and widespread calls for boycotting led ZARA to delete its post on Instagram: “Due to the strength of the comments and the boycott issue, ZARA deleted the post on Instagram… teach them how to undermine their luck so they know how they belittle you, and hit them where it hurts and make them lose.”

Hussein Mada tweeted on the matter: “Massacres and corpses have become a promotional material for global fashion stores, and they never promote anything by accident; it’s time for boycott instead of indifference.”

Nabil Al-Awadi tweeted about ZARA’s move to delete the images: “Even if they deleted their post, they have revealed what they harbor in their hearts.”

A New Stain Added to the World’s Waste

Hamad described ZARA’s actions as: “A new stain added to the world’s waste… ZARA shamelessly promotes its new advertisement with shrouds and corpses.”

Fahad Al-Arbash commented on ZARA’s pictures, which users described as audacious: “While children, women, and men from our Muslim brothers and sisters are dying, the global company ZARA has, in all its vileness, presented its new 2024 season clothes as shrouds and corpses in support of the enemies against the cause… Would any Muslim, with an ounce of mercy in their heart, continue to buy from these human monsters??”

ZARA remains silent!

The ZARA chain has not officially commented on the ongoing controversy yet, although social media users have shared its campaign images and criticized the new design.

Previously, Vanessa Perelman, the chief designer of the famous Spanish clothing brand “ZARA,” sparked significant controversy when she made hateful remarks against Palestinians in a conversation with a Palestinian fashion model.

Later, the fashion model revealed the conversation on social media, where Perelman defended Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, blamed Palestinians in Gaza whom she described as terrorists, and attacked Muslims and their beliefs.
