Israeli Rabbi Calls for Sinai Occupation: Al-Azhar Responds to Extremist Claims
The Israeli Rabbi is

Watan-The first Egyptian response to the statements of the Israeli Rabbi Ouzi Sharbaf, who called for the occupation of Sinai up to the Nile River, claiming it to be Israeli territory, has been issued.

Ouzi Sharbaf, during his participation in a conference held in Tel Aviv, attended by members of the Knesset to discuss settlements in Gaza, said, “The issue is the Gaza Strip, and in this great stage that indicates the approach of the coming of the Messiah, we are in days when a great opening has been granted to us to continue the liberation of the land of Israel in the southern part of the country in Gaza and its surroundings.”

Sharbaf added that they need prayers and to do everything in their power to liberate the entire Sinai region up to the Nile, claiming that this area is an integral part of the land of Israel and is sacred with the sanctity of the land of Israel, according to his claim.

Al-Azhar responds to the Israeli Rabbi

In response to this, the Observatory of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Egypt stated that the increasing extremist Zionist calls advocating the reoccupation of Gaza and Sinai, as well as settlement in these areas, are alarming.

The Observatory added in a statement: “The racist and extremist Zionist statements continue, highlighting the ugly face of this terrorist entity whose ambitions do not stop at seizing Palestinian territories but extend beyond that to aspire to expand into Arab and Islamic lands, with Sinai at the forefront.”

It clarified that this extremist rabbi, Ouzi Sharbaf, is one of three members of the secret Jewish organization sentenced to life imprisonment for committing terrorist acts against Palestinians in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including attempts to bomb the Dome of the Rock and explode Palestinian buses in occupied Jerusalem. However, due to significant public pressure and intervention by some senior Jewish officials, all members of the secret organization were released a few years later.

Extended Israeli Lies

The Observatory affirmed, “Since its first day overshadowing the blessed land, this Zionist entity claims that the promised land of the Jews, according to their claim, extends from the Nile River to the Euphrates. They manipulate religious texts from the Torah to prove their alleged rights in Islamic and Arab lands, exploiting these texts to serve their colonial goals in the region during the successive wars they waged against the surrounding countries. They have been condemned by all corners of the earth for their ugliness and bad behavior.”

The Observatory emphasized that the Torah texts they rely on do not genuinely prove their right to the land of Palestine. Their own Torah affirms the presence of the original inhabitants in it and their refusal to abandon it at any point in time. The texts they cling to were revealed in specific generations of the Children of Israel, under specific religious conditions, not extending beyond them or transcending the time of their revelation.

It continued, “These Jews should govern reason and logic and ask themselves why this divine promise was not fulfilled in the life of our master Moses, peace be upon him. This divine promise in the Torah is conditional on obedience and righteousness, and the Torah itself recalls that they did not adhere to these conditions. They lied to the prophets of God, disbelieved in them, killed them, deviated from the straight path, worshiped the gods of other nations, idols, and consequently, curses and dispersals befell them across the earth, and the divine promise fell away from them.”

The Observatory stressed that the Children of Israel did not have a peaceful life in the land of Palestine throughout the ages; rather, their history resembled successive disasters. This negates their possession of the promised land according to the conditional divine promise.

Warning against Exploiting the Current Situation

There is a warning against exploiting the ongoing situations, especially in the presence of one of the most extremist governments, to advocate for extending the boundaries of this entity at the expense of Palestinian and Arab-Islamic lands. Particularly concerning is the fact that the occupying authorities do not clearly define the borders of their entity, exploiting contradictory Torah texts regarding the promised land as falsehoods and deceit to justify any expansion of their borders, as has often occurred in past wars. Recently, this focus has turned to the Palestinian Gaza Strip and the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula, especially in light of the displacement plan repeatedly stated by the occupation in recent times.

The Observatory cautioned that the Zionist entity and its extremist arms have their eyes set on the beloved land of Sinai, aiming to seize it at any opportune moment. Many of their rabbis view the withdrawal from Sinai, following their defeat in the October 1973 war, as an unforgivable religious mistake. The same sentiment applies to the withdrawal from Gaza in 2005. Consequently, they see the opportunity to correct past mistakes, reoccupy Gaza and the West Bank, and then shift their attention to the land of turquoise, the Egyptian Sinai.
