Unveiling Deception: Gaza Health Director Challenges Egypt’s Rafah Crossing Narrative
Egypt has so far evacuated only 433 wounded individuals from the Rafah crossing

Watan-The Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Muneer Al-Bursh, boldly raised his voice against the head of the coup in Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, asserting that his opening of the Rafah crossing is a “deception and a smokescreen” to throw dust in people’s eyes, pointing out that what the Egyptian regime is doing makes the situation worse “because people think that the crossing is open normally, and the reality is not so.”

In what the Al Jazeera live channel presenter Ayman Azam described as a testament to history, Dr. Muneer Al-Bursh, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, spoke about the Rafah crossing and the Egyptian stance: “Egypt receives 12 or 16 cases daily out of tens of thousands.”

Al-Bursh added: “If it were up to me, I would close the Rafah crossing so as not to be held accountable, and our accountability is before God on the Day of Judgment, and it is the justice that will prevail among us.”

The lie of opening the Rafah crossing

The health official in Gaza affirmed that the authorities of the coup in Egypt “did not allow the authorities to evacuate (thousands of the wounded),” and continued: “Unfortunately, this crossing, which takes only 12 cases a day or 16 cases… I swear to God, if the decision were in my hands, I would close it.”

He explained that the reason he spoke in this manner about the Rafah crossing is “so that we (the Palestinians) are not considered to have an open crossing for aid or the evacuation of the wounded… Let us die in silence as everyone dies in the Gaza Strip, and it is not counted against us that there is an opening for crossings.”

He further stated that Egypt has so far only evacuated 433 wounded individuals… and Palestinians are held accountable as if the Rafah crossing is open! He commented, “We do not want this accountability, and let them meet us before God Almighty.

Calls to Pressure for Breaking the Gaza Siege

Former Kuwaiti Parliament member, Jumaaan Al-Harbish, mentioned that the responsibility for breaking the siege and delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which has been under continuous Israeli aggression for over 70 days, lies with the Arab and Islamic countries.

According to Gulf Online, Al-Harbish stated, “All Arab and Islamic countries, especially Turkey as it is a neighboring country, bear a significant responsibility for not lifting the imposed blockade on the Gaza Strip.”

He added, “What is required now is to use economic pressure, sever diplomatic relations, prevent the passage of airspace, and stop supplying this entity with gas, oil, or any other aid.” He believed that such steps are sufficient not only to open the Rafah crossing but also to halt the war on Gaza.

The former Kuwaiti deputy mentioned that “the moral, political, and humanitarian responsibility, before it falls on Europe and America, is borne by the Arab and Islamic countries.”
