Israeli Newspaper Exposes Discrepancies in Intelligence: Mohammed Al-Dhaif’s True Condition Contradicts Official Claims

Watan-The Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” published a report revealing new details about Mohammed Al-Dhaif, the overall commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.

The information provided in the newspaper’s report contradicts completely with the information that the Israeli intelligence had been promoting.

Israel had been promoting information suggesting that Mohammed Al-Dhaif had lost his legs, was unable to move his hands, and needed a wheelchair for mobility. However, the information presented in the report showed a completely different reality.

The newspaper stated in its article: “Another failure for intelligence stars? After years of uncertainty about the medical condition of the leader of Hamas in Gaza, the Israeli army released video clips showing Mohammed Al-Dhaif walking on his own feet, in much better condition than previously estimated in Israel.”

Israeli journalist Ben Caspit, speaking to “Maariv” newspaper, mentioned that the new information obtained by the Israeli army indicates that Mohammed Al-Dhaif is in very good health, walking on his own feet, and there is evidence that he is not suffering from any health problems or paralysis, contrary to previous assessments by Israeli intelligence.

Israeli media had previously reported that the air force had targeted Al-Dhaif in previous wars, resulting in the martyrdom of his family and causing him serious injuries that led to the loss of his sight and the ability to walk.

The newspaper added: “After the Israeli army released a video of Sinwar’s brother, Mohammed Sinwar, moving through tunnels in Gaza, it is now evident that Mohammed Al-Daif, who has been pursued by Israel for years, is in good health.”

Mohammed Al-Daif is safe and well

The passage explains that as part of the intelligence gathering operation in the Gaza Strip, Israel found several video clips showing Al-Daif in good health. In one of the video clips, Al-Daif was seen walking on his feet with a slight limp.

The video clips indicate that Al-Daif’s condition is much better than estimated in Israel, as he can walk unaided without using a wheelchair, and he may also be able to use both of his hands.

The newspaper pointed out that Al-Daif has survived seven assassination attempts over the past years. It clarified that the fact that Al-Daif is alive, working, and in relatively good condition, capable of walking unaided, contradicts entirely with recent intelligence assessments.

Recently, the Israeli army distributed leaflets in the Gaza Strip, promising a substantial financial reward for anyone providing reliable information about the whereabouts of senior Hamas officials, such as Mohammed Al-Daif and Mohammed, the brother of Yahya Sinwar.

The newspaper also published a video clip released by the Israeli army, showing Yahya Sinwar’s brother, Mohammed Sinwar, inside a model car within a revealed tunnel.
