Watan-Activists on social media have circulated a video featuring the Palestinian content creator, the boy “Abood,” appealing to animal rights organizations for help in rescuing animals in Gaza from Israeli airstrikes. This plea comes after human rights organizations have not responded and turned a blind eye to the appeals.
The Gaza-based boy “Abood,” who recently gained widespread fame amidst the destruction caused by the Israeli aggression on the besieged region, appeared in the video stating that 87 days have passed since the Israeli war on Gaza.
He continued, expressing that throughout this period, there is no medicine in hospitals and no doctors either. Those doctors who have not been detained in
Abood: “They have not cared about our tragedy.”
The Palestinian boy, Abood, continued, “For 87 days, we have been pleading with human rights organizations to intervene or do something, but they have not cared about our tragedy, our suffering, the daily practiced killings, and the genocides against civilians, men, women, children, and the elderly.”
He added, “Today, we decided to appeal to animal rights organizations to see how animals in Gaza, including cats and birds, are dying just like humans.”

Abood further explained that “the animals that did not die from the bombing with shells and phosphorus weapons died from hunger and thirst, and just as people cannot find food and drink, neither can the animals.”

In his commentary on the video, Al Jazeera journalist Yasser Abu Hilaleh stated that the Palestinian boy Abood embodies the character of a Gazan, and his smile summarizes all the meanings of patience, contentment, resilience, protest, and resistance.
He added, “This is not a natural reaction but rather the result of a social upbringing from home to the street, to school, the mosque, and the club.”

Abu Hilaleh continued, “The generation that grew up under the control and influence of Hamas since the first intifada poses a challenge to the enemy, which is why they contemplate forced and voluntary displacement.”
He concluded, “The Zionists do not hesitate to talk about curriculums and schools in their deceptive narrative of the ‘Next Day,’ with them and Blinken and those who follow them, all in submission.”
