Watan-The Palestinian-British doctor and surgeon, Ghassan Abu Sitta, revealed the reason why the Israeli occupation forces dig up graves and steal the bodies of martyrs in the Gaza Strip.
Abu Sitta said in an interview with Al Jazeera Live that Israeli weapons factories boast that their products and industries are tested on the battlefield, meaning on the Palestinian people.
Ghassan Abu Sitta added that an essential part of the research and development cycle for any weapon involves dissecting the bodies of the victims of that weapon. He explained that stealing the bodies of martyrs, victims of some Israeli weapons tested in the Gaza Strip, is an integral part of the development and marketing cycle of these weapons.
He pointed out that when examining any scientific research on a weapon, there is a fundamental aspect of this research, which is related to dissecting the bodies of the victims or the bodies on which the weapon was tested.
Details of the Israeli Occupation’s Digging of Palestinian Graves The Government Media Office confirmed that the Israeli occupation army dug up 1,100 graves in the Tuffah cemetery east of Gaza City and stole 150 bodies from it.
A statement from the media office reported that it documented a new crime added to the series of crimes committed by the occupation during its genocidal war against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The doctor and Palestinian-British surgeon, Ghassan Abu Sitta, revealed that a key part of the research and development process for any weapon involves dissecting the bodies of victims of that weapon. He explained that stealing the bodies of martyrs, victims of certain Israeli weapons tested in the Gaza Strip, is an integral part of the development and marketing cycle for these weapons.
He added that after the graves were dug up and the cemetery was excavated, the Israeli occupation army stole approximately 150 bodies of recently buried martyrs. They removed them from the graves and transported them to an unknown location, raising suspicions once again about another crime – the theft of the martyrs’ body parts, as previously indicated in earlier statements.
He noted that the Israeli occupation army has repeated this crime more than once, with the latest instance involving the delivery of 80 bodies of previously stolen martyrs from the Gaza and North Gaza governorates. The bodies were tampered with, delivered in a mutilated state, and buried in Rafah city. The occupation authorities refused to provide any information about them, and changes in the appearance of the bodies clearly indicated the theft of vital organs by the occupation from these martyrs.
Previously, the occupation dug up graves in Jabalia, stole the bodies of martyrs from there, and continued to detain dozens of martyr bodies from the Gaza Strip.
Hamas Condemns the Israeli Crime
In response, the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” condemned the Israeli occupation’s digging up of Palestinian graves in Gaza and stealing the bodies of martyrs, relocating them to an unknown destination.
In a statement, the movement expressed that this heinous crime reflects the brutality of this fascist army. It called on countries, governments, human rights organizations, and relevant international institutions to fulfill their humanitarian and ethical responsibilities, and to take urgent and decisive action to condemn and expose these escalating crimes.
