Watan-The Omani authorities announced on Tuesday the interception of a shipment of drones at the Hafeet border crossing. The drones were coming from the United Arab Emirates and were en route to Yemen.
According to a statement from Oman Customs, shared through its official account on “X,” the announcement was accompanied by a video documenting the process of confiscating these drones destined for Yemen.
The statement, as reported by (Watan), stated, “The General Administration of Customs managed to intercept a truck at the (Hafeet) border crossing loaded with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). These were coming through the transit system from the United Arab Emirates and heading towards the Republic of Yemen.

The shipments were concealed in a professional manner
The shipments were concealed in a professional manner, and the statement continued: “Customs inspectors were able to discover the shipments, which were concealed professionally in specially prepared places within the truck, intended for smuggling.”
According to the same statement, the relevant authorities have initiated an investigation into the case to complete the remaining legal procedures against the suspects.
The video shows the process of extracting parts of the drones from various secret compartments in the cargo vehicle. Customs inspection officers can be seen extracting drone parts from above the wheels of the vehicle, beneath the seats, and other hidden areas.
It is worth mentioning that the Houthi group in Yemen had previously announced, in its earlier statements, targeting Israeli sites in the occupied territories and carrying out operations against ships heading to Israel in the Red Sea using drones, of which they possess a significant number.
