South Africa calls for an urgent halt to the Israeli brutal air and ground attacks on the Palestinian territory, asserting that their goal is to destroy life in Gaza and exterminate its people.
In the lawsuit led by the African leader Cyril Ramaphosa, South Africa condemns the ongoing Israeli bombardment campaign, which has resulted in the deaths of more than 23,000 people in the Gaza Strip, according to health authorities’ data in Gaza.

The African leader Ramaphosa is Cyril Ramaphosa, who was elected in 2018 as the President of South Africa, succeeding former President Jacob Zuma. He was born in Johannesburg in 1952.
Cyril Ramaphosa is a politician, businessman, and union leader. He served as the Deputy President in 2014 and was elected as the President of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) in 2017. He graduated with a law degree from the University of South Africa in 1981.
Ramaphosa also held the positions of Deputy and President of the Constitutional Assembly after the first democratic, multi-racial elections on April 27, 1994.
After failing to become Mandela’s successor in power, Ramaphosa withdrew from politics and entered the world of finance and business, becoming one of the wealthiest businessmen in South Africa. He returned to political life in 2012.

Ramaphosa withdrew from politics after failing to become Mandela’s successor in power and joined the world of finance and business, becoming one of the wealthiest businessmen in South Africa before returning to political work in 2012.
Ramaphosa’s statements on Gaza
Ramaphosa’s supportive statements and positions regarding Palestine and Gaza were reiterated after a brutal war with Israeli occupation forces, notably when he appeared wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh.
The African leader appeared in a video posted on his platform (X) account, stating, “The main way to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is to implement the two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state.”
He added, “We extend condolences to the families of civilian victims during the recent clashes on both sides (Gaza Strip and Israel).”
Ramaphosa continued by stating that “the Israeli matter of evacuating over a million people from northern Gaza to its south would worsen the situation,” confirming “South Africa’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and its support for a peaceful solution.”
Ramaphosa also spoke about how “the peaceful resolution of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine will positively impact the entire Middle East.”
The most chivalrous and courageous man among the Arab leaders
One of the notable tweets praising the African leader, Cyril Ramaphosa, came from Yehia El-Kazzaz: “Every free Arab feels gratitude for the President of South Africa and his country’s stance in solidarity with Gaza, wishing he could be our president, but in our countries, there is no choice.”
The “Owner of Happiness” account also described him as “the most chivalrous and courageous man among the Arab leaders.”
Salem Rabieh expressed his view of Ramaphosa by writing, “My leader and guide is not the one who rules me with fire, forcing me to remain in the shelters of blind obedience with handcuffs and chains, even if he were my brother from my mother and father.”

And he continued: “My leader is the one who respects himself, upholds my principles, defends my rights, and the dignity of my nation. Even from the farthest corner of the earth, the President of South Africa is my leader and deserves the title of the leader of humanity with merit.”
Idris recalled a slogan of the former President Nelson Mandela, saying that Ramaphosa is his successor: “Our freedom will not be complete until the freedom of the Palestinian people is achieved.” Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa, said it and departed, and after him came a successor who continued the mission.”
