Watan-Activists circulated a video showing a former captive of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas named “Ohad Mondir.” He affirmed learning “tasbeeh (glorification) and shahada (testimony of faith)” during his captivity inside the besieged Gaza Strip, describing it as enjoyable.
The video, published by the Hebrew Channel 13, showed the boy mentioning that Hamas taught him tasbeeh, the Arabic language, and among the vocabulary he learned was the word “khayara” (choice).
When asked by a journalist about what he was saying while holding a “prayer beads” in his hand, the former captive of Hamas replied, “Prayers,” explaining that the religious necklace among Muslims is called “prayer beads.”

The former captive added that Muslims use it for tasbeeh in different ways, describing what he learned as enjoyable. He confirmed learning to say “Subhan Allah (Glory be to God), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah), Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest).”
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, had broadcast a message on Monday revealing the deaths of the captives “Yossi Sharabi and Tayse Friski” in an Israeli army shelling and the survival of the third captive, Noa Arugmani.

The resistance released a video recording of the three Israeli captives, Noa Arugmani (26 years old) from Be’er Sheva, Yossi Sharabi (53 years old), and Tayse Friski (38 years old) from Tel Aviv, appealing to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the war in Gaza.
In his latest speech, Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, announced that the fate of many Israeli captives in Gaza “has become unknown in recent weeks,” suggesting that some of them have been killed recently.
The Israeli occupation estimates that around “137 captives are still held in the Gaza Strip,” according to consistent media reports and statements from Israeli officials.
Several captives from Gaza were released after reaching a temporary ceasefire in November 2023, leading to the release of 105 detainees held by Hamas, including 81 Israelis, 23 Thai citizens, one Filipino, and 240 Palestinian prisoners.
