Watan-An Israeli journalist posed an embarrassing question to the Prime Minister of the occupying state, Benjamin Netanyahu, indicating the failure of the occupation army in achieving the objectives of the war on Gaza.

During a press conference, an Israeli journalist surprised everyone by asking him, “You haven’t released the prisoners, you haven’t destroyed Hamas, you haven’t killed its leaders, so why are you reducing forces in Gaza? Is this in response to a request from the U.S. administration?”

Netanyahu’s response

Netanyahu, who appeared visibly tense, replied, saying, “We are working on it, so those who say we should stop the war now want us not to achieve these objectives, and we will not accept that.”

He claimed to have a commitment to Israelis that ensures the prevention of a recurrence of attacks like those on October 7th (Operation Aqsa Tempest).

“We are working to complete our mission and to continue the war without stopping in the middle,” he added.

Question about the exclusion of the Defense Minister

The Israeli journalist also asked Netanyahu about excluding his Defense Minister, Yovav Gallant, from negotiations regarding the deal to supply medicines to the prisoners in Gaza.

Netanyahu reacted strongly, saying, “How many lies can you say in one evening? You said that I excluded the Defense Minister and dismissed him.”

He presented a document that he claimed was sent to the Defense Minister four days before the medication deal, indicating their awareness of all the details related to the deal.

Reaching the medication deal

Earlier, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs had announced the success of Doha’s mediation, in collaboration with France, in reaching an agreement between the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, and Israel.

The deal included the entry of medicines and a humanitarian aid shipment to civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the most affected and damaged areas, in exchange for delivering the medicines needed by the Israeli detainees in the sector.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry confirmed the continuation of efforts with regional and international partners during the coming stage, especially in humanitarian aspects and medical evacuation, as part of Qatar’s efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
