ElBaradei Warns of Impending Rafah Invasion: Arab Action Urgently Needed
Mohamed ElBaradei Embarrasses Arab Regimes

Watan-Former Egyptian Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei revealed the only way to stop the potential ground invasion by the occupation army to the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

ElBaradei said via his account on the “X” platform that there is a state of miserable international silence towards the heinous military operation that Israel intends to carry out in Rafah, which could either destroy 1.3 million Palestinians or forcibly displace them from their land permanently.

He added that in the face of this silence, the Arab countries remain practically the only ones capable of collectively using their political and economic means and tools to pressure Israel and its allies to stop those violations against all international laws and norms.

He continued: “You know very well that condemnation and calling on the international community to intervene will not be enough or effective… Your peoples expect you to be responsible and to save the people of Gaza from further death and destruction.”

ElBaradei concluded his post with a warning message to Arab regimes, saying: “The rule of the people and history will be harsh.”

Netanyahu orders reserve soldiers to mobilize

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had called for the mobilization of reserve soldiers in preparation for launching a military ground operation in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Netanyahu asked Chief of Staff of the occupation army Hertzl Halevi to mobilize reserve soldiers for a military operation in Rafah.

Israeli Channel 13 reported that Netanyahu asked Halevi to re-mobilize the reserve forces that had been discharged, in preparation for the possible operation of the occupation army in Rafah.

The channel quoted sources as saying that the army has been waiting for about two weeks for political approval to launch the attack on Rafah.

Halevi said that the army would be able to handle any task, but there are political aspects that must be addressed first.

Channel 13 reported disputes between Netanyahu and the Chief of Staff regarding the Rafah operation. It added that Netanyahu intends to hold the security apparatus responsible for delaying the military operation in Rafah.

A senior Israeli official told the same channel that “the operation in Rafah is approaching.”

International estimates indicate that there are between 1.2 and 1.4 million Palestinians in Rafah after the occupation army forced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the north of the Gaza Strip to flee to the south.
