Challenging Netanyahu’s Gaza Strategy: Insights from General Fayez Duwairi
The response of General Duwairi to the Chief of Staff of the occupying army receives a reaction

Watan-Retired Jordanian General and military strategist Fayez Duwairi responded to the Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Hertzi Halevy, who claimed achievements in the brutal war against Gaza, affirming that destruction and displacement have never been and will never be accomplishments in any war.

As the war on Gaza entered its fifth month, Halevy made statements that sparked anger and ridicule, claiming that the Israeli occupation army paid a heavy price and lost leaders and fighters despite what he described as achievements in military operations.

Duwairi stated in remarks to the Qatari Al Jazeera channel, “Occupation leaders continue to talk about distant goals far from reality, such as the day after the war and the future of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.”

The military expert emphasized that the combat tunnels of the Palestinian resistance movement are still unknown, a complex network that can only be discovered by entering them.

He also warned of the need to differentiate between tunnels intended for combat purposes and those for smuggling and logistical matters.

Duwairi comments on Netanyahu’s plan in Gaza

Duwairi commented on Netanyahu’s plan in Gaza, pointing out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented his vision for the day after the war on Gaza under pressure, confirming that it is not based on objectivity regarding what is happening on the ground.

Duwairi referred to what Hebrew media reported about Netanyahu’s plan for a 10-year and two-year plan to eliminate Hamas and eight years to make Gaza similar to the West Bank.

The military and strategic analyst stressed that these statements indicate a lack of clarity of objectives, which undermines achievements.

He added that there is a gap between political and military occupation leaders before emphasizing that wars begin with a political decision and end with a political decision.

General Fayez Duwairi responded to claims of field achievements by saying that the displacement of Gaza’s residents and the destruction of their homes, schools, and hospitals, as well as the commission of massacres against them, are not achievements but rather a “systematic destruction of the essentials of life.”
