Jordan’s Queen Rania Expresses Sorrow Over Moroccan Earthquake

The Jordanian Monarch reaches out in solidarity with Morocco after a devastating quake

Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the wife of Jordan’s King Abdullah II, expressed her profound sorrow for the Moroccan people due to the devastating earthquake that struck their nation the previous night.

In a tweet from her account on platform “X” (previously known as Twitter), Queen Rania stated, “We share the grief and pain of our brothers and sisters in Morocco. We stand by them in this grave calamity. May the victims rest in peace, and we pray for the swift recovery of the injured.”

Jordan’s Stance on the Moroccan Tragedy Following the same sentiment, Ayman Safadi, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, affirmed that under the directives of King Abdullah II, Jordan is in close contact with Morocco to offer any assistance they might require in the wake of the powerful earthquake that hit the Moroccan Kingdom.

Safadi tweeted on platform “X” (previously known as Twitter), “May God have mercy on the victims of the Moroccan earthquake. We hope for a speedy recovery for the injured. We stand with our brethren with all our capabilities in facing this calamity.”

He continued, “Under the King’s guidance, we are liaising with our brothers to provide any assistance they need in dealing with this tragic event. May God protect the dear Morocco and its honorable people from all harm.”

Jordanians in Morocco The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in a statement released on Saturday, emphasized Jordan’s solidarity with Morocco during this painful ordeal, expressing condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The ministry, through its Operations Center and the Jordanian Embassy in Rabat, is closely monitoring the situation of Jordanian citizens residing in Morocco following the earthquake that occurred on Friday evening.

The ministry urged Jordanian citizens living or currently in Morocco to exercise utmost caution and adhere to safety instructions issued by local authorities in this regard.
