Israeli Army Announces Assassination of Hamas Leader Marwan Issa

Watan-The spokesperson for the Israeli Occupation Army, Daniel Haggari, announced the assassination of Marwan Issa, a leader in the Al-Qassam Brigades and the deputy of Mohammed Al-Deif, the commander of Hamas’ military wing, without any confirmation from the resistance.

The spokesperson for the Israeli Occupation Army stated in a press conference on Tuesday evening that the targeting operation of Hamas leader Marwan Issa took place two weeks ago (on the 11th of March) in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

He added that the targeting operation of Hamas leader Marwan Issa was carried out in coordination with the Shin Bet.

The army spokesperson mentioned that Marwan Issa is the number 3 figure in Hamas’ military wing and one of the planners of the October 7th attack.

He noted that Marwan Issa was assassinated along with Hamas’ weapons procurement official, Ghazi Abu Tamamah.

This was not the first announcement by the Occupation Army about the assassination of Marwan Issa since the airstrike that the army said targeted the Qassam leader.

There has been no statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades, whether denying or confirming what the Occupation Army announced so far.

Earlier statements by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed the death of Marwan Issa in an Israeli airstrike.

Palestinian reports indicated the death of 5 civilians and the injury of 9 others in the airstrike. The bombing was accompanied by internet and electricity outages.

In December, it was reported that Mohammed Issa, Marwan’s son, was killed in an airstrike, while his eldest son died about a year ago due to illness.
