Watan-The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced causing new human and military losses to the occupation by carrying out attacks against Israeli vehicles and soldiers in their incursion axes in the Gaza Strip on Friday, March 29, 2024.
The Palestinian resistance published statements confirming the targeting of occupation forces and inflicting losses on them. According to Al-Qassam, resistance fighters targeted a group of occupation soldiers entrenched inside a house near Nasser Hospital in the western outskirts of Khan Yunis city in southern Gaza with an anti-fortification shell of TBG type.
The targeting resulted in the death and injury of members of the Israeli group, while Al-Qassam reported observing “the landing of an Israeli helicopter to evacuate the dead and transport the wounded for treatment.”
Similarly, the same brigades confirmed in southern Gaza “the destruction of an Israeli Merkava 4 tank with an explosive charge of Shawath type west of Tel al-Hawa neighborhood.”

Losses of the occupation in southern Gaza
In another statement, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, mentioned that “resistance fighters, after returning from the conflict points, managed to ambush an Israeli infantry force of 6 members, resulting in deaths and injuries, west of Khan Yunis city.”
The Israeli occupation has not issued any response to the statements of Al-Qassam and Al-Quds Brigades. However, Israeli media acknowledged casualties among the occupation forces in southern Gaza without providing further details.

Toll of Israeli losses
The official death toll announced by the Israeli army since the beginning of the war on October 7th of last year has continued to rise, reaching 598 officers and soldiers, including 254 since the start of the ground offensive on the sector on the 27th of the same month.

As for the injuries of the occupation forces, they reached, according to the same source, 3165 officers and soldiers since the beginning of the war, including 491 “critical” injuries and 838 “moderate” injuries.
The Israeli occupation is waging a devastating war on Gaza, which has resulted in tens of thousands of civilian casualties, most of them children and women.
