Watan-Social media users circulated a video showing a group of Israelis storming the Knesset building live on Wednesday, demanding the government to swiftly resolve the issue of prisoners held by Hamas.
The protesters urged the occupying government to exert more efforts to release the prisoners held by Hamas in Gaza, while others smeared the glass barrier between the visitors’ hall and the main hall with paint.
The demonstrators chanted “Now! Now!” at the seated legislators below them and left the glass stained with yellow paint, their emblematic color.
Chaos Inside the Israeli Knesset
Employees escorted the protesters out of the Knesset, according to Reuters news agency.
The protest came after large anti-occupation demonstrations erupted in Jerusalem over three days.
Thousands took to the streets demanding further action for the hostages and calling for new elections to replace Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Occupation Prisoners Held by Resistance
Among the 253 individuals detained by Palestinian resistance during the Gaza war, approximately 134 remain in captivity in the Palestinian territory.
Israeli occupation officials have announced that at least 35 of the detainees have died, and relatives and friends fear for the fate of the remaining amid Israel’s continued brutal airstrikes.
With Israeli obstinacy and procrastination in dealing with Qatar’s mediation efforts to halt the ceasefire in Gaza, Palestinian resistance demands that any agreement lead to an end to the war, while Israel insists on continuing its attacks to eliminate the Palestinian movement.
