Israeli Minister Alleges Plot to Assassinate Netanyahu Amidst Escalating Protests

Watan-Israeli Minister of Transportation, Miri Regev, alleged that there are protesters who want to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

This comes amidst escalating protests demanding Netanyahu’s resignation and early elections.

Israeli Channel 12 quoted Minister Miri Regev, who belongs to the right-wing Likud party, as saying that the violent protests cannot continue.

Regev urged law enforcement agencies, courts, and the Shin Bet security agency to continue detaining protesters, not to release them, and to investigate them to prevent the assassination of the prime minister, according to her claims.

Protesters were run over in Israel

On Saturday evening, thousands of Israelis demonstrated, demanding early elections and a prisoner exchange deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas”, while a driver ran over a group of them.

The central protest demanding a prisoner exchange deal took place at the Kaplan intersection in central Tel Aviv.

Hundreds of Israelis demonstrated near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in West Jerusalem, demanding his accountability and resignation.

Meanwhile, around 8,000 people demonstrated in Haifa at the Horev junction in the city center, chanting slogans against the government.

Thousands of Israelis also demonstrated outside Netanyahu’s home in the city of Caesarea (north), demanding his accountability and a prisoner exchange deal.
