Israeli Opinion Poll Reveals Widespread Dissatisfaction with Gaza War Outcomes
Watan-A poll published by the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” found that the vast majority of Israelis are dissatisfied with the outcomes of the war in Gaza, with only 29% expressing satisfaction.
Conducted on April 3rd, noticeable differences emerged between supporters and opponents of the Israeli government regarding this issue.
The poll was conducted by the Lazar Center for Research under the supervision of Menachem Lazar in collaboration with Panel4All.
The survey results showed that less than a third of Israelis are satisfied with the outcomes of the war that erupted on October 7th.
In response to the question, “Half a year has passed since the war. When you look at the war in general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the results achieved so far?” the responses were: Satisfied – 29%, Dissatisfied – 62%, I don’t know – 9%.
The breakdown of responses revealed significant differences between supporters and opponents of the Israeli government on this issue as well.
61% of government supporters said they were satisfied with the outcomes of the war so far, compared to 33% who were dissatisfied and 6% who didn’t know.
In contrast, only 17% of government opponents expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the war so far, compared to a large majority of 79% who were dissatisfied and only 4% who didn’t know.
In the survey conducted on April 3rd, 528 participants took part, representing a sample of adult residents in the occupied territories aged 18 and above, including Jews and Arabs. The maximum sampling error in the survey was 4.4%.
