European Parliament Erupts: Irish Deputy Accuses Commission President of Complicity in Gaza Massacres
Watan-Claire Daly, the Irish deputy, exploded in anger in the European Parliament over Western support for the Israeli occupation’s commission of massacres in the Gaza Strip. She directed her criticism specifically at Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission.
Daly stated that a full month has passed since the start of the relentless massacre against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. She described the ongoing events not as a spiral of violence, as asserted by Ursula von der Leyen, but rather as a publicly acknowledged act of genocide.

She added that this genocide is being carried out by the Israeli apartheid state, engaging in a war of starvation, bombing hospitals and ambulances, targeting journalists, and obstructing humanitarian corridors.
Claire Daly pointed out that one person out of every 200 people in the Gaza Strip has been killed due to Israeli airstrikes. Additionally, she highlighted the alarming statistic that a Palestinian child is killed every ten minutes.
Gentle Call on Israel to Avoid Targeting Civilians
Claire Daly highlighted that the President of the European Commission responded to these massacres against children by merely requesting Israel to avoid targeting civilians.
She continued, “(She told them essentially) target whatever you want… Isn’t that complicity? (The Commission President) couldn’t even demand a halt to the massacre, couldn’t call for a ceasefire, and of course, she won’t.

Claire Daly pointed out that von der Leyen is complicit in these humanitarian crimes, manufacturing them with her support when she stood by Israel and declared current and future support.
She continued, “Don’t come here and try to wash the blood off your hands… It’s not just Israel’s crime, but yours as well.
Intensive Israeli Bombardment Targets Hospitals
The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip entered its 36th day with the Israeli occupation forces intensifying their bombardment of hospitals. The death toll has surpassed 11,000.
