Serious Security Incident in Gaza Leaves Multiple Israeli Soldiers Injured
Heavy Clashes and Airstrikes Reported in Northern Gaza as Tensions Escalate.
Watan-Israeli media have reported that more than seven soldiers were injured in a serious security incident in the Gaza Strip, accompanied by loud and successive explosions. The reports added that the incident involves the Artillery Brigade and the 36th Division.
Channel 12 in Israel stated that intense battles are currently taking place in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, and residents of the Gaza Envelope area are reporting significant movements of Israeli Air Force jets.
Additionally, Israeli sources said helicopters have begun evacuating the wounded from Gaza following the announcement of a serious incident.
The term “serious security incident” is typically used when the Israeli army suffers casualties in Gaza.
Israeli media also reported that the army is carrying out extensive aerial and artillery bombardments in northern Gaza, with the sounds of explosions heard in the western Negev region.
The municipality of Sderot stated that the gunfire, explosions, and aircraft noise are due to ongoing military activity in Gaza, and no special instructions have been issued for residents as a result.
This comes just days after several Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded after being lured into a booby-trapped tunnel in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
