The police stated that they suspect the bus explosion in Bat Yam was nationally motivated.
According to settler-affiliated platforms, an unexploded device was found following the explosion of two buses in the settlement of Bat Yam.
Israeli media confirmed that the police are conducting searches and sweeps for suspects involved in planting explosive devices on the buses.
Channel 24i quoted the mayor of Bat Yam as saying that three bombs were placed on buses across the city.
Meanwhile, The Jerusalem Post, citing Israeli police, reported that the attack appears to be an act of terrorism, as three explosive devices were found on three empty buses.
Israeli Channel 14 confirmed that surveillance cameras captured a suspect planting explosive devices in Bat Yam before fleeing the scene.
Following the events, light rail service in the Bat Yam area was completely suspended.
