U.S. sanctions ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan after the court’s arrest warrant for Netanyahu over Gaza war crimes.

Watan-The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan on Thursday.

At the time, Trump claimed in a statement that the ICC was “unjustly and baselessly targeting the United States and its close allies, such as Israel.”

In a statement published on its website Thursday evening, the U.S. Treasury announced the inclusion of Karim Ahmad Khan on the sanctions list of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Karim Khan is a prominent British lawyer born in 1970. He previously served as a Queen’s Counsel and is the third ICC Prosecutor, as well as the first to be elected through a secret ballot.
