Israel to Release 90 Palestinian Prisoners in Fourth Exchange Deal with Hamas
Among the Released Are 9 Serving Life Sentences and 81 with Long-Term Sentences as Part of the Ceasefire Agreement.
Watan-The Palestinian Prisoners’ Information Office stated on Friday that Israel intends to release 90 Palestinian prisoners tomorrow, Saturday, including 9 serving life sentences and 81 with long-term sentences, as part of the prisoner exchange deal and the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
In a statement, the office affiliated with Hamas said: “After the Palestinian resistance hands over the names of the Zionist prisoners, 9 prisoners serving life sentences and 81 prisoners with long-term sentences will be released tomorrow, Saturday, as part of the fourth batch of the ‘Flood of the Free’ deal.”
This comes in exchange for the release of three Israeli prisoners by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, tomorrow. The Brigades’ spokesperson, Abu Ubaida, revealed their names earlier today without providing further details about them.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed this information.
Amani Sarahneh, the spokesperson for the Palestinian NGO, stated that Israel “will release ninety prisoners” on Saturday, including “nine serving life sentences and 81 serving long-term sentences.”
This will be the fourth prisoner exchange between Palestinian factions and Israel since the ceasefire agreement in Gaza came into effect on January 19.
