Watan-The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Kingdom’s stance on the establishment of a Palestinian state is firm and unwavering, and is not subject to negotiation or bargaining. This was in response to recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he claimed that Saudi Arabia is not demanding a Palestinian state.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry added that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had clearly and explicitly affirmed this position (the establishment of a Palestinian state) during his speech on September 18 and at the Riyadh Summit last November.
The ministry stated that the Crown Prince emphasized that Saudi Arabia will not cease its diligent efforts toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and that the Kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without this condition being met.

Additionally, the ministry noted that the Crown Prince urged peace-loving nations to recognize the State of Palestine and stressed the importance of mobilizing the international community to support Palestinian rights, as expressed in UN General Assembly resolutions, which consider Palestine eligible for full UN membership.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s firm rejection of any infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through Israeli settlement policies, the annexation of Palestinian land, or efforts to displace the Palestinian people from their homeland.
The statement further emphasized that the international community has a duty to alleviate the severe humanitarian suffering endured by the Palestinian people, who remain steadfast in holding onto their land.

The ministry reaffirmed that this steadfast position is not open to negotiation or compromise and that a just and lasting peace cannot be achieved without the Palestinian people obtaining their legitimate rights in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions—something that has been made clear to both the previous and current U.S. administrations.
