Watan-A audio recording has surfaced documenting the moment of gunfire against the Palestinian child Layan Hamada in the Gaza Strip, while she was with her sister Hind in a vehicle surrounded by occupation forces.
The child was on the phone with the Palestinian Red Crescent requesting assistance when Layan was shot and killed. Hind, who is six years old, remained trapped inside the vehicle surrounded by the occupation’s tanks and soldiers.
The voice of the child could be heard as she spoke to a Red Crescent member, crying in fear, stating that the occupation forces were shooting at them and that a tank was nearby.
The Red Crescent man asked if she was hiding, to which she replied that she was in the car next to the tank.
Subsequently, the sound of gunfire was heard while the child screamed, before her voice was silenced following her martyrdom.
Trapped child in a car
The Red Crescent Society had announced that the child Hind was with her maternal uncle’s family, “Bashar Hamada,” when the vehicle was shot at.
Hind remained alone inside the vehicle after everyone else in it was martyred. For over three hours, the Red Crescent team remained in contact with the child to calm her down.
Loss of contact with rescuers who attempted to save her
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that the fate of the paramedics who went yesterday to rescue the 6-year-old child Hind, trapped inside a vehicle in Gaza City, is still unknown.
The Society stated in a statement that they lost contact with the rescuers, and they do not know if they succeeded in their mission.
It was noted that the occupation considers the location of the car a closed military zone and targets anyone attempting to move in it.
